In the heart of Somerset there lurks a small but perfectly formed example of the village shop. A proper Tardis full of things both useful and lovely.. from toilet rolls to bread rolls to fig rolls, from homemade chocolate crunch to crunchynut cornflakes, from handmade doorstops to bread for doorsteps, from a bouquet of roses sent to a friend or belated birthday card to make amends.... Pride of place goes to our range of lovely Somerset things, great quality, keenly priced products made by talented local producers just up the road. How good is that?!
While here you can stop awhile, enjoy a cup of frothy coffee and one of Julia's freshly baked cakes or cheese and ham scones and watch the world go by... well ,the world according to Curry Mallet that is, which usually means two cats and a tractor.
The Shop is open 9.00-4.00 Monday to Saturday. The Post Office opens from 9.00-12.30 Monday to Saturday If coming for tea in a group it's always worth calling ahead to bag a table (01823 480236) as space is limited.
